Fredericksburg/Northern Virginia reinforce position as Virginia’s largest AB wholesaler

Virginia Eagle Distributing Company (VED) — is pleased to announce the acquisition of J.F. Fick, Inc. of Fredericksburg, Virginia.  The new territory for VED will include the Counties of Caroline, King George, Prince William, Spotsylvania and Stafford, as well as the city of Fredericksburg.  Additionally, all military properties within those boundaries will be included.
“Expansion is nothing new to VED,” states Kenny Wheeler, President and CEO of Virginia Eagle Distributing.  “In a short seven years, our company has grown from a one warehouse location in Verona, Virginia to a six warehouse distributorship that services the majority of the state…a truly amazing feat.  I couldn’t be more proud of the team that has built our company to what it is today.”
Prior to this acquisition, Virginia Eagle Distributing held warehouses in Verona, Charlottesville, Winchester, Pulaski, Lynchburg and Springfield and serviced four million Virginia residents, 20,000 square miles and more than 50 counties, independent cities and towns. Our estimated 5,000 on and off-premise accounts, including local grocery and convenience stores, restaurants, clubs and bars, are offered a wide selection of products consisting of the Anheuser-Busch family of beers & imports, the best in local craft beers, ciders and select non-alcoholic offerings.

“These new markets will be an important area for us as we continue to stake our claim as an industry leader in the beverage distribution business,” says Scott Heinz, COO of Virginia Eagle Distributing.  “Our team is excited to represent and sell some of the greatest brands in the world to our new retailers and consumers.”
VED has built a reputation of excellence through their expert team of salesman, warehouseman, drivers and a professional marketing department.  Each of these invaluable employees is asked to uphold the company’s mission to be the most professional and customer focused company within our industry
From Kenny Wheeler, “Each of our team members has played a huge role in the success of our company.  Without their dedication and drive, the companies’ recent expansion would not have been possible.  Combing the expertise of current J.F. Fick team members, I look forward to the continued development of an even stronger team and showcasing these collective talents in our newly acquired markets.”
