EXHIBITS:
Main Gallery: On First Friday December 7, we will host a reception for the new show “Christmas at OASIS”, in which OASIS artists exhibit new items to celebrate holiday season. The First Friday reception, from 5-8, includes light refreshments, and is FREE. The exhibit continues through December 31st, 2018.
Water Street Window Gallery: The Water Street Window Gallery will exhibit work by OASIS artists.
ACTIVITIES:
Santa’s Attic: on December 1st, from 12-7 pm, OASIS will have a kids only shopping. OASIS artists will sell hand-made items, each under $20, in a special kids-only area. There will be light refreshments for kids and adults!
OASIS Holiday Give Away: OASIS artists have contributed over $600 to a gift basket. Chances for basket are available until 20 December. Come check it out!
Art & Tea: on December 11th, from 2-4 pm, Sarah Lock will share the fascinating process of origami shapes, and participants will make a box, a bird and a star/wreath. This is FREE but registration is necessary by December 7thth at oasisartandtea@gmail.com.
Art on Wheels: The OASIS activities at the Boys & Girls Club at the Simms Center will continue on December 12th.
Kids’ Saturday Activities: On Saturday, December 8th, Edda will lead FREE children’s art activities, from 10:30 to 12:00. Activities will be on a first-come-first-serve basis for children 5 years of age and older. Media may change, will be varied, and may include painting, paper crafts and other fun projects. Pre-registration by the prior Thursday (December 6th) is required by emailing edda4kinder@gmail.com.
OASIS is a co-op gallery with over 35 local artists and artisans, who exhibit and sell their work. OASIS Fine Art & Craft is located at 103 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg.
