Applications invited from those working in the service professions

HARRISONBURG, VA (October 17, 2017) - Hot Yoga Harrisonburg is pleased to announce a new yoga scholarship open to those working in the service professions for the City of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. Eligible applicants include public school teachers, law enforcement professionals and other employees of the City and County.

The scholarship is good for six months of unlimited yoga practice at Hot Yoga Harrisonburg. It was donated by an anonymous yoga student who has changed her life through the practice of Bikram Yoga.

“Somebody who cared about me took me to my first Bikram Yoga practice,” said the donor. “Even though it was a bit intimidating at first, the practice helped me prioritize taking care of my health, and it’s with heartfelt gratitude that I want to pass this gift onto another person.”

Hot Yoga Harrisonburg’s Owner Anita Yoder said, “We’re grateful for this kind donation and look forward to giving a local community service professional the opportunity to experience and enjoy the many benefits of a regular yoga practice at Hot Yoga Harrisonburg.”

For a scholarship application, call (540) 433-YOGA, email info@hotyogaharrisonburg.com, or visit www.HotYogaHarrisonburg.com. Applications must be received by December 1, 2017.

Applicants must have taken at least three classes at Hot Yoga Harrisonburg and must commit to a minimum twice per week practice for the duration of the scholarship. They must also be willing to write a monthly account of their progress for Hot Yoga Harrisonburg’s newsletter.
