Summary
The Development Manager will join a dynamic team and will guide and execute the organization’s development strategy. Open Doors, the area’s low barrier provide of shelter, compassionate support, and access to services for the unhoused and housed is in an exciting time of growth!
Duties
Individual Stewardship
- Lead donor-oriented outreach activities (e.g., tours and open houses).
- Collaborate with communications assistant and Exec. Director on aligning marketing, communications and development initiatives and campaigns to increase awareness.
- Work with Exec. Director to cultivate, identify and steward major donors.
- Develop and execute individual giving strategies focused on cultivating new donors and maintain/growing contributions of the current donor base. Focus on recurring gifts.
Corporate Stewardship
- Attend networking events to grow awareness among local business community.
- Develop and execute corporate giving strategies with the goal of cultivating new relations and expanding current corporate partners. This may include sponsorships and general philanthropy.
Internal Responsibilities
- Create annual impact reports and materials.
- Manage gift receipts and acknowledgements.
- Serve as staff liaison to development committee.
- Ensure accurate entries in CRM and donor database.
- Model and promote a culture of philanthropy amongst all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with development committee and Exec. Director on development plan.
- Assist with special development-related projects as needed. Chair one event committee.
Qualifications
- The ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in individual, corporate giving, sales OR relationship management.
- Comfort with technology and software (GiveButter/LGL preferred)
- Relevant formal education or demonstrated experience in functions
