Job Description
The receptionist provides a welcoming first‐impression, in a professional manner to all visitors and clients. The individual must be aware of the staff’s presence and availability.
The receptionist performs a variety of clerical and administrative activities. Efficiency in directing visitors to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner is crucial. Assist clients by accepting premium payments, issuing receipts, and answering questions. Listening skills, good judgment, and strict confidentiality is required.

  • Greet visitors warmly and professionally with an efficient connection to the purpose of their visit
  • Screen calls and forward to appropriate staff in a timely manner, according to department requirements
  • Proper system documentation of payments received, checking data entry on policies, and issuing receipts
  • Upload carrier payment information on a daily basis
  • Enter Activities daily into Applied
  • Daily bank deposits, reconcile account, and balance cash box
  • Monitor the payment in/out bank account used by all locations
  • Process and deliver of daily incoming mail, and faxes to proper persons
  • Maintain company vehicle Log
  • Support assistance to divisions as time allows
  • Glass entry doors/windows to be cleared of handprints daily
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • High school diploma or an Associate’s degree is preferred
  • Must be neat in appearance, and communicate professionally
  • Telephone courtesy is most important
  • Must be computer literate
  • Relate well with other staff members
  • Preferred fluent bilingual abilities in Spanish and English abilities in reading, writing and speaking
  • Ability to multi‐task is crucial (answering phones, taking payments, conversing with staff and directing visitors)
Provide account rounding opportunities to other departments: employee benefits, individual life and
health products, personal lines, flexible benefits and financial services 

  • Must be physically able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time, which may include extensive use of personal computers and associated software.
  • Must possess the ability to hear, see, and speak
  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, use repetitive small motor activity, use hands and fingers, and reach withhands and arms, stoop, and kneel
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Perform with a high‐energy level and ability to handle stress‐related situations on a daily basis
  • Must have a valid state issued driver’s license and have the ability to operate a vehicle
  • Will be required to drive and travel unaccompanied in diverse weather conditions
