Mutt Strut 5K

Finally, a 5K where tail wagging is encouraged and your dog is an official participant. We’re doggone excited to announce a brand-new event coming to Harrisonburg on March 21: the Mutt Strut 5K!

All dogs receive a commemorative race bandana, and the 5K route winds through the Friendly City Trail and the paths of Hillandale Park — the perfect place to stretch your legs (and paws). Whether you’re chasing a PR or just chasing squirrels, this event is all about welcoming spring, taking sniff breaks, and supporting a great cause.

 100% of race proceeds benefit Anicira Veterinary Center 

Mutt Strut Highlights:
 Saturday, March 21 at 9:00 AM
 Dogs not required! Runners and walkers without dogs are absolutely welcome
 All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash — safety first
 Please make sure your pup is comfortable around crowds and other dogs
 Multiple water stops along the route for people and pets
 Please pick up after your dog along the course
